One of the truly great events held in Sandbridge, the Baja Surf Classic, will be held on September 18th this year, with a rain-date scheduled for the 25th . The Surf Classic which benefits A Dolphin’s Promise, a non-profit organization raising funds for cancer research, is held at Little Island Park with after-contest festivities to held at the Baja Restaurant, just across the street.The contest, has its roots in the 1980s, however after a brief time off, the competition was brought back by Baja’s current owner, Jimmy Reeve. Since then, the competition has been an absolute success, bringing in surfers from around area and Sandbridge community for a little friendly competition. All age groups are welcome and everyone has a great time catching waves, and supporting a good cause.

So, put it on your calendars folks! September 18th, Little Island Park…The Baja Surf Classic is sure to be a good time!
