New Menu Released at 7 Martini & Tapas – Friday
Our friends at 7 Martini & Tapas are adding some new items (Caprese Stackers, Gazpacho, Blackened Tuna Strips & Steak Rolls) to their menu on Friday!  Check on the new items added to the menu and the new decor!  Call 757-689-4870 for reservations.  DJ Silver will be spinning videos and your favorite hits starting at 10:00 pm.

Exploding Sun at the Baja
Exploding Sun will be entertaining everyone in the Bayview Lounge on Friday evening.  They will take the stage at 8:00 pm and rock out all night!

Sunset Kayak Paddle at False Cape
Explore Back Bay and its marshes by kayak at False Cape State Park as the sun is setting over the bay.  Kayaks and equipment are provided.  No paddling experience is necessary.  Reservations are required. Call (757) 426-7128 to sign up.  Cost: $20/person.

Tram Tour at False Cape
Special tours will be run on Friday evenings from 6:00pm to approximately 7:30pm.   They will cover only the Refuge grounds and focus on the wildlife and history of the Back Bay. Please call ahead for registration for this event at (757)301-7329.

Walk on the Wild Side at False Cape
Take a 1-mile (round-trip) hike in the wilderness of False Cape State Park and find out what plants grow in this coastal environment and how they were used by American Indians. Look for animal tracks to see who lives here and how to distinguish between them. Reservations are required. Call (757) 426-7128 to sign up.  Cost: $10/person

Sandbridge’s own DJ Mikey “White Shoes” Johnson  will be laying down tracks all night for the Bayview Dance Party!

Welcome to Wash Woods History Tour at False Cape
Take a scenic tram ride through Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge to the site of the historic Wash Woods community in what is now False Cape State Park.  Hike the one-mile (round-trip) nature trail to the church and cemetery site where the steeple and gravestones remain.  Call (757) 301-7329. Cost: $8/adults; $6/children & seniors.

Free SUP Clinic at Surf & Adventure
Surf & Adventure Co. is all about spreading the standup paddleboarding love!  For five weeks through July they will be holding free SUP clinics on their dock.  Learn the ropes from a certified instructor – this weekend it’s Lauren Thompson leading the crew.  This session will be from 1:00-4:00 pm and will cover the principles of the forward stroke and forward sweep.  There will also be a raffle for SUP gear and local Sandbridge restaurants Zest, Baja, Boardwok, Back Bay Gourmet and Sandbridge Island!

Sunset Sundays at the Baja
BOB FM and the Mike Proffitt Band will be hosting the sunset party on Sunday at the Baja’s Bayview Lounge.
