The Surf-Love-Hope Foundation has announced an upcoming benefit for the Fentress & Normile families. The Kickin’ Champagne Runway Event will be held at the Margaret Schoch of Unique Elegance office at 1741 Corporate Landing Parkway on September 22 from 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm.

The morning will begin at 8 am with a boot camp style workout that will get your heart pounding and finish with a mind and body awakening SUP yoga session.
Get stoked! The much anticipated 2012 Baja Semi-Annual Surf Classic is just a month away! On Sunday, September 16, surfers from the local area will meet up at Little Island Park for some friendly competition. After the surf contest there will be a pizza party and awards ceremony at the Baja Restaurant.
Surf & Adventure Co.’s Retreats to False Cape have been a huge hit! The next trip is planned for August 18 and is open to men and women. There will be SUP/Surf lessons, yoga and a professional masseuse available. Boxed lunches will be catered by Back Bay Gourmet.

On August 5 & 6 a group of Sandbridge Beach residents gathered at the beach to remember 31 heroes.
A crowd gathered down at the beach in near the Sandbridge Seaside Market this morning to watch PacMan the Loggerhead Turtle be released back to the Atlantic. The Virginia Aquarium Stranding Team has been nursing PacMan back to health for the past week after he was accidentally hooked by a fisherman. The Stranding Team had a path lined off with rope down to the water. They carried him in a tub and quickly showed him around to the crowd before letting him go along his journey back home at sea. The 1st Annual Kraig Vickers Honor Run will be held on August 5, 2012 in Maui and also at Little Island Park in Sandbridge on the same day.
