Easter Bunny Visits Sandbridge – April 12, 2020

Due to the fact the Traditional Sandbridge Beach Civic League’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt was cancelled at Little Island this year, the Easter Bunny came to Sandbridge and delivered “goodies” throughout the Sandbridge Beach Community. We are “thankful ” to the Civic League for hosting another wonderful event. See photos of some of the family visits that were made. Hope everyone had a blessed Easter!

$20M Sand Replenishment Project has Begun

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A $20 million project to replenish a 5-mile stretch of beach in Virginia is beginning after scheduling delays. Sand for replenishing Sandbridge Beach is coming from the Sandbridge Shoal, a site a few miles offshore. Contractors will widen the beach up to 90 feet and raise it to six feet.
