Baby Bobcats Make A Rare Appearance At Back Bay Wildlife Refuge!

They are our only wild cats, yet they are rarely seen. We know bobcats live, mostly in nighttime secrecy, in the southern part of Virginia Beach. In the northern part of the city, bobcats exist mostly in rumors. Some folks around First Landing State Park, especially, think they have heard a bobcat call in the night or are pretty sure they have seen a footprint, but that’s about it.

Outdoor Events Rained Out – Back Bay Wildlife Refuge to Celebrate 75th Anniversary – June 8

Tropical Storm Andrea rolled into Sandbridge Thursday night and is making for some soggy conditions that are causing cancellations. Our friends at Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge were planning to celebrate their 75th Anniversary on Saturday morning, but due to all the rain we are receiving the outdoor events and activities have been cancelled.
