The lotus flowers are once again blooming in Lotus Garden Park off Sandbridge Road, just in time to ring in the start of summer and the fourth of July!
The Lotus Garden Park was constructed about fifty years ago with a roadside pull-off so drivers could stop and view the beautiful yellow lotus flowers. However, the flowers then made a decade long disappearance.
Many blamed their disappearance on the poor conditions that plagued the Back Bay, but about 5 years ago, the lotus was back and the Bay is cleaner than ever.
Everyone should definitely take a minute and stop to check out the blooming lotus flowers!
