Thank you, Sandbridge Civic League members, for your generosity with our most recent food drive. Connect With A Wish distributed 15 bags full of food to teenagers and young adults who are aging out of foster care. Your kindness helped to brighten their day and your support is greatly appreciated!

The SBCL is hosting a food drive for summer food baskets for about 15 young adults who have aged out of foster care.

The statistics of those who age out of foster care are disheartening. Nationally, only 3% will graduate college, 20% of young adults end up homeless as soon as aging out, and 40% within 18 months. Connect With A Wish (CWW) is a local non-profit that is working hard to change those statistics by supporting these young adults with numerous programs. A key support program is Connect to Careers (C2C) which works one on one with these young adults to assist them in furthering their education and starting a meaningful career. This year, C2C wants to support them with summer food baskets.
