Get ready to don your Easter bonnet and join the SBCL for our annual Easter Egg Hunt at Little Island Park. The
Easter Bunny himself is coming to head up the hunt on SUNDAY, April 9. The gathering starts at Shelter 1 at
2:00 p.m.
This treasured tradition is a team effort, so please help! We are asking families to stuff 100 plastic eggs with
goodies like candy, stickers, erasers, and coins. Please drop the bag of stuffed eggs at 308 Back Bay Crescent
by Thursday, April 6. You can leave them on the porch if no one is home. Last year, we spread some 13,000
eggs on the beach. Yes, 13,000! It takes our amazing community to make this happen!
We also need volunteers of all ages to help on the day of the Easter Egg Hunt. This is a great opportunity for
teens who need volunteer credits for school and scholarships (hint, hint: the SBCL Scholarships!)
On the day of the Easter Egg Hunt we will be collecting canned food to be donated to the Food Bank of Southeastern
Virginia. Please bring one can or more per family.
To volunteer or if you have any questions, call Amy Barton at 478-3139 or email aab@cox.net.
